Go faster by stopping quicker! The HUCKTOFLAT Gravity Series brake rotors will provide strong braking performance, consistent feel, will not warp and will withstand a lot of use and abuse!
Why should I upgrade my rotors?
- Firstly, simply sizing up your brake rotors is a cost effective way to increase your brake performance.
- Secondly, the design of these rotors means they will out-perform most, if not all other rotors on the market!
Why Semi-Floating?
- The semi-floating disc rotor has an aluminium centre carrier with a stainless steel outer braking band attached to the carrier with rivets.
- This allows the braking band and carrier to expand and contract independently from the heat cycles generated from braking preventing warping of the rotor.
- Additionally, the aluminium carrier works as a heat sink, drawing heat away from the braking surface. The aluminium disperses heat approximately 5 times faster than the stainless steel and since aluminium is almost 3 times lighter than the steel, the carrier can be made larger for extra heat dissipation.
- They are not FULL-floating as that feature is unnecessary on a mountain bike, and the extra movement can cause rattling between the carrier and braking band.
The type of stainless steel used and cut out pattern of the braking band means that you will always have a consistent braking feel, will clear mud/debris and braking will be quiet even with metallic pads.
*** Please note, depending upon the current diameter brake rotors installed, it may be necessary to purchase different sized brake caliper mount spacers***
